Technology law is a fast-emerging area of law. It is bound to be one of the most lucrative areas of law in the years to come. This Act may be called the Limitation Act, of 1963. It extends to the whole of India except the States of Jammu and Kashmir. It shall come into force on such date1 as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. Bar of limitation.—(1) Subject to the provisions contained in sections 4 to 24 (inclusive), every suit instituted, appeal preferred, and the application made after the prescribed period shall be dismissed, although limitation has not been set up as a defense.
