Public Health Engineering Department
The department is primarily responsible for supply of safe drinking water to rural as well as urban areas. This can only be achieved by ensuring that the demands for drinking water appropriately addressed in the context of the physical, environmental and social background of the State. At the same time, we need to ensure that this vital resource will continue to be sustainable for future generations to come. Rural water supply systems including Installation of hand pumps, mini water supply system, etc. in small habitations/wards with piped water supply system for every individual household. A massive exercise has been launched aiming at strengthening and restructuring of department, thereby reorienting it into a to facilitate prompt maintenance etc.
पंचायती राज विभाग के नियंत्रणाधीन 58.003 ग्रामीण वार्डों में निर्मित 70157 जलापूर्ति योजनाओं के संचालन, मरम्मति एवं सम्पोषण हेतु मार्गदर्शक दिशा-निर्देश तथा रू० 1,08.372.00 (एक लाख आठ हजार तीन सौ बहतर रू०) प्रति जलापूर्ति योजना प्रति वर्ष के मानक दर से 5 वर्षों तक संचालन, मरम्मति एवं सम्पोषण हेतु कुल रु० 361145.33 लाख (तीन हजार छः सौ ग्यारह करोड़ पैंतालीस लाख तेतीस हजार रूपये) की योजना की स्वीकृति।
