Procedure for processes such as: where measurements need not be recorded in e-MB, review of e-MB, Loss of e-MB, notice to the contractor before recording measurements-action to be taken if he/she fails to respond, preparation of the bill, recording of measurements of supply/issue/laying of steel, transfer of e-MB are analogous to S. No. 7 to 13 of SOP 5/20 (A) for physical MBs.

The procedure for operation of e-MB i.e. uploading details of the agreement and BOQ, recording online measurement(s) and raising Request ' for inspection (RFl) by the contractor, verification, and test check process by the department, selection of RFI for billing, a summary of quantities, downloading and printing of e-MB, loss of e-MB, etc. are given in SOP 5/20(8).

In case of EMB, the Contractor shall have to download EMB for the approved RFI (request for inspection), from ERP Portal, submit a printout of the final EMB having pages of A4 size without any corrections, duly bound and with its pages machine numbered.

it is also a term of this contract that checking and/or test-checking the measurements/levels of any item of work in the measurement book and/or its payment in the interim, on account of the final bill, shall not be considered conclusive evidence as to the sufficiency of any work or material to which it relates nor shall it relieve the contractor from liabilities from any over measurement of defects noticed till completion of the defects liability period.
