There shall be a Gram Sabha for each Gram Panchayat. All persons registered under the electoral roll of the Gram Panchayat shall be members of the Gram Sabha. Mukhiya of a Gram Panchayat or in his absence, the Up-Mukhiya of the Gram Panchayat shall convene meetings of the Gram Panchayat from time to time for performing the functions specified under the Act, but the time interval for the two consecutive meetings of any Gram Sabha shall not exceed three months.
