This is in continuation to the Ministry's OM of even no. dated 29.12.2077 regarding the subject matter. The following Officers who were nominated for the subject training program have been exempted to attend the same in view of prior nomination in other training programs of Ministry/ IAH E/or already attended the same course.

"Swachhata Pakhwada" is a concept inspired by Hon'ble Prime Minister's vision to engage all Central Government Ministries and Departments in swachhata-related activities, thereby making swachhata "everyone's business". lt is requested that Road Safety Week be organized from 11th - 17h January 2023 in true spirit and propagate the cause of safer roads amongst the stakeholders. Our endeavors would contribute a lot to achieving the target of reduction of road accident deaths and injuries.

It is seen that in case of existing bridges retained without widening, the existing railing is usually not replaced by a crash barrier. The provision of a crash barrier is essentially required for the safety of vehicular traffic but there is apprehension about the structural suitability of replacing the railing of existing bridges with a crash barrier.

In all existing bridges retained without widening and having no crash barrier, existing railing shall be replaced by RCC Crash barrier, except in situations where the deck slab is including the impact load due to collision of the vehicle, in which case the metallic crash barrier with double W-Beam shall be provided.

It is further to State that to allow a Similar facility in HAM Concession Agreement (CA), a sub-stage has been introduced in Annexure-I of Schedule G of HAM CA for Calculation of Progress against the casting of Precast items such as bridge girders and RE wall facia Panels/blocks for determining achievement of project milestones.
