Ministry has issued Standard EPC Agreement for National Highways and Centrally Sponsored Road works proposed to be implemented on engineering procurement and Construction (EPC) mode of Contract vide Ministry's letter no. RW/NH-37010/4/2010- EAP (Printing)Vol.-IV dated 05.03.2019. Payments are made under EPC projects as per weight ages stipulated in Schedule H of the Contract agreement. Presently payment for pre-cast items such as Bridge Girders, and RE Wall Facia Panels/Blocks are made only after completion of the respective work/stage including erection/launching as mentioned in schedule H.

The contents of this circular may please be brought to the notice of all the concerned in your organization for strict implementation from the date of its issuance.

ln this context, it has been decided that Team Leader/each key personnel/sub-professional be allowed 12 days Casual Leave (CL) in a year with prior intimation to the Client. Out of this, a maximum of 3 days CLs can be availed either separately or together in a quarter and the period of the CLs would be counted as key personnel/sub-professionals being on duty.

Interested and Eligible organizations may send their proposals through an online portal. No hard copies and physical proposals shall be entertained. A list of key reasons for the non-selection selection of the applications uploaded earlier has been enclosed as Appendix -I applications must ensure, that these points are also taken into consideration while submitting the proposal as per eligibility criteria and other scheme guidelines.

It is also specified in 2 laning manuals that the parapet/railings of the existing bridges to be repaired/replaced shall be mentioned in Scheduled B. In the four laning manuals, it is specified that the railing of existing bridges shall be replaced by a crash barrier where specified in Scheduled B. If a structure is highly sensitive to superimposed dead load, the effect of the additional load of crash barrier shall be designed and checked beforehand.
