As you are aware that GIS mapping of the entire network of National Highways (NHs) is one of the most important requirements for planning, execution, and monitoring of NHs networks, but this important task has not been completed so far.

NHAI was constituted by an Act of Parliament, namely, the NHAI Act 1998, and it become operational in 1995 with a very humble beginning. Initially, it was entrusted with the task of developing only 331 Km of ADB-funded projects with the grand vision of the then Prime Minister, Sh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, innovative thinking, and adoption of best global Practices; NHAI started the Journey of building world-class infrastructure in the Country.

ln this context, it has been decided that if the above-mentioned certificate has not been submitted by the bidder in its Technical Bid, an opportunity must be given to the bidder to submit the desired certificate during the technical evaluation of the Bid. ln case the bidder is not able to submit the said certificate, further action may please be taken as per RFP.

Road transport is the only extensive system that gives transportation to the final destination. It offers a vital link between production and consumption. Over the years, road transport in India has recorded considerable growth both in terms of distance as well as in terms of the output of the system. Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) is not only concerned about better accessibility and safer road network in the country but also about enhanced transparency and efficiency. The Sector-specific policies of the Ministry have contributed significantly to increasing the road network and improving the quality of the public transportation system in India.
