Traffic Calming began in the Netherlands in the 1960s with the design of “Woonerven” or “living yards”. Woonerven integrated motor traffic with pedestrian and bicycle traffic on shared street space. In the 1970s Germany began working in the area using the term “Verkehrs berthing” which is translated as traffic calming. Spread to other countries in Europe, Canada, and Australia. In the late 1970s, a number of communities in the USA began applying principles of traffic calming.

In Light of the above, it has been decided to accept the "Bid Security and Performance Security" in the form of an Account Payee Demand Draft, Banker's Cheque, or e-Bank Guarantee with immediate effect.

Tenders were invited for dismantling/removing overhead signboards from gantries installed at various milestones under the jurisdiction of one PIU. 'X' a manager (F), was also a member of the Committee as a representative of the finance wing.

As per the model Concession Agreement (MCA) vide Article 38 of BOT Projects; Article 32 of HAM Projects; Article 30 of OMT Projects & Article 31 of EOT Projects, the divestment of rights & interest upon termination of the Concession Agreement has been prescribed.
